Blackstone pellat is a solid catalyst, components of which are amino silicate including silver. Its interfacial dimension is 300m2 for 1 gram. Fossil fuel is activated by being impregnated Blackstone pellet. Dissolved oxygen in fuel oil adheres to the surface of molecules and reacts chemically to produce molecular oxygen which transforms fuel oil.
Molecules of fuel oil are more miniaturized by activation of the catalyst and therefore they are ignited homogenously and the better combustion is promoted. Fuel oil is consisted of several dozen of molecules forms cluster of approximately 20KJ . mol by Van del Waas bonding strength. Fuel oil is turned into molecular oxygen with high reactivity, since dissolved oxygen chemically adheres to the surface of fuel oil molecules. Thus, the strength of this chemical bonding cuts bonding of clusters of fuel oil into more miniaturized clusters by the strength of more than 20KJ . mo.
Auto-oxidation (reaction cycle) of clusters of fuel oil in a tank is promoted to form larger clusters. Auto-oxidation is peculiar development of hydrocarbon. Blackstone pellet substantially restrains progression of auto-oxidation by deterring (or eliminating) generation of radical compounds which are produced in the process of the aforementioned auto-oxidation of molecule oxygen. |
